In this article we want to explain the RaiseNow customer store in detail. We will answer questions such as who can make use of the customer store and what the main purpose is.
Who?
All our customers that have an email marketing automation from RaiseNow are using the customer store already in the background.
What?
In the customer store each contact from the email marketing tool, or donor information processed through a CRM connector are combined in a customer token generated in the customer store.
How?
The customer token contains contact data such as e-mail address, postal address, etc. During the set up of the customer store you decide which information should be available in the customer token.
Use case
If you pass the customer token when you initialize the donation form, the form will be automatically pre-populated with the customer data saved in the customer token.
If you for example send out an email to donors you can send individualized links for each donor with their specific customer token. When the donor clicks the link their personal information will already be pre-filled.
Pre-fill Function
The pre-fill function is a nice way to make the subscription of a donation more comfortable. It is often used to send personalised links by email.
This function can only be used if the donor is already registered in our database. With the customer token, the personal data but NOT the payment method with the confidential information is displayed pre-filled on the donation form.
How to generate the personalised link
The link which leads the donor to the pre-filled widget is composed of:
- and the stored customer token
To generate the link, you need to
- replace in the URL the placeholder {widget-uuid} (widget-name/widget-id) with the relevant widget-uuid, for example "123456789".
- add to the URL after "index-de.html" a question mark "?" and the prefix "rnw-"
- add the stored_customer_token={token} , for example you can find one in the RaiseNow Manager (Use "stored_customer_token:*" as search query).
